New to this whole shit and I feel like a pilgrim

Made it out this far, but why do I feel dumb?

Used to hate being Adrian, wanted an alias

When I started making beats in elementary

It’s meant to be, but then tell me why this is stressing me

Me and my team all know that we got the recipe

They say my time is on the way, I say, «It better be»

But while I’m waiting, I know I’ve become a better me

Surviving daily to make it, I know I’m low on funds

'Cause rap is my only ticket out

From having nothing and stressing what’s up in my account

The bills are stacking, but I can’t fathom another route

I put my headphones on and tune the world out

It gets harder and harder holding onto my dreams

Some days I wake up and feel like I done tried everything

But I stand with it 'cause something in me won’t let me leave

Then it occurs to me this might be where I’m meant to be

I hope to live to make all my supporters proud of me

So we could stunt on like everybody who doubted me

I wanna give back to everybody who vouched for me

And thank my brothers for talking me off a balcony
