Just not

For any reason that you’d want me to be

And we were both laughing

Even though you didn’t find it very funny

When I said we’d all end up back in our hometown eventually

And you

Weren’t wearing your seatbelt

While I was driving, one arm hanging out the window

And we were both laughing

Even though I didn’t find it very funny

Your reckless behavior’s going to catch up to you eventually

And you don’t have to pretend that you’re not happy

You know it’s written all over your face

You’ll think you’ll move on, it will be over

But you’ll be just as miserable any other place

We’re all moving back home
