Resurgence - By the Thousands

I’ve watched myself go through phases throughout time

Build myself higher and higher each passing day

To drown out the past I’ve longed to forget

Built inside my thoughts there’s progress

This is progress

With every step that I take, forever embrace, this is the new beginning

Break through the walls of defeat and keep gunning forward

Evil that dragged me beneath exists no longer

I know at times I think there’s no hope but that’s not me anymore

I won’t succumb to this misery life brings to me
