Down Yonder where the cops don’t go is where I live life

There’s a no trespassing sign on the fence post and guns are in plain sight

We’re baptized in muddy water but we sip on the Holy kind

Yea I love living Down Yonder on the forgotten side

We can still skin a buck and run a trotline

Them whiskey stills, still distilling that moonshine

We can switch out rims and change our brake lines

Or grow a field full of berries for that homemade wine

But buddy if you decide to show up without an invite

And it’s in the middle of the night then you sure better flash your lights

Cause the things happening out here ain’t quite legal

But it ain’t the people you oughta fear

Nah it’s them guns and dogs, bear traps and hogs

Ball bats and calls echoing from one ridge to the next

We don’t involve the law, we get problems solved

And keep it hush hush till the bones dissolve

Work hard to make ends meat to provide for your family

Living off in them hollers taught a young’n how to come up
