Jekyll -

Creeping shadows fill the corners of my mind,

Dark desire finds expression every night,

A skeleton lurks in every cupboard you must hide,

Dark suppression, no confession, live a lie,

Jekyll stop me turning into Mr Hyde.

Pandora’s box is open, I hear the siren’s cry,

Drowning in sweet surrender, my lust to satisfy,

Breathe life into the shadow, rising up I feel it’s power,

Drunk on pleasure, drunk on pain, now is the hour.

The shadow now controls me, there is no escape no turning back

Now there is light, now there is dark

Forbidden fruits for Jekyll and for Hyde.

Do I have the urge to kill?

Do I try and fight desire?

Do I close my eyes to what I see?

Can’t we end this charade?

Can’t we end this masquerade?

Playing games denying all taboo.

Get a fix from page 3, washing brains with television,

Will Pavlov’s dog take you a walk?

Here in the realms of existence, threatened with stark mediocrity,

Let me drink my joy as well as pain.

Daughter of Elysium, illuminate my darkness,

Shed your light, reveal the glory of ideas,

Find it in expression, find it in the joy you feel

As the life force channels down your spine.
