By the time I took my place in line

They had locked the doors behind

Past due, the midday sun was makin' 'em sweat

I didn’t mind gettin' baked too — ooh!

And one by one we made our way to the trap

You could hear their voices through the window

You could easily hear the pop — pop — pop

Oh I waited so long I sold my clock

I thought they’d never stop

Well all they had was fast and loud

And just this once I was glad I’d seen it all before

They stretched and flexed — I just relaxed

They watched me — I stayed still as steel

They don’t realize it — I got all their prizes

And I waited long enough to die!

They run to the shore — I stay in the pool

On the patio with the piano

And I’m watching them all fold

Now I roll up to the mark hold my arm out

Take an eyelid

And squeeze
