the wooden ladder on the wall depends upon two separate rooms growing higher

and higher with every hesitative move

on all-fours I start to crawl against the wall and upwardly

then I grow tired of trying to walk on floors that have no cling anymore or if

they ever did

the wooden ladder in the yard hangs along two conifers growing higher and

higher with every sun and every moon
