Slow Decline - Decay

The winter came and went, took half his body with it

It left his mind in pieces, now He’s barely self sufficient

I don’t blame him for the drinking or sleeping through the day

He trusted in a god that came, and took you away

Now 3 years down the line, his memory is fading

Forgetting all his loved ones their faces and the places

Were he used to walk at night were all his time was spent

He tried to kill himself once before, and it took him away

Safer in my skin, more than I’ve ever been

With the weight of the world on my lungs, my noose already hung

I watched him decay, each and every

His time is wearing thin

Plagued with the guilt of his kin
