Everyone looks ugly on a hardwood floor after nights of sleeping without

lighting

Every woman’s hair get’s messed and tossed when they walk in the rain without a

hijab

And that’s why the Muslims fight wars for their girls

And that’s why I opened up my mouth full of sores

And I begged for release from their jail on the beach

And I begged not to be their only Western servant on a hardwood floor

Scraping up splinters tacked to the door

But I am a Westerner
