Cranial Liquiscent - Fetid

Cast asunder, casketless in a grave full without number

They feel that I am already gone, and soon they will cease to be wrong

Only mush is left behind these eyes

Foam creeps through clenched teeth, slowly bubbling from my closed lips

My nostrils are filling with the mud that was once only soil, pressed tight

into my face from weight of dancing feet

It’s not my fault that I’m here

It’s not their fault that they don’t hear

They know not what they do, and their actions arise from fear

They know nothing of the suffering that I have experienced above ground and

even less of that which I now feel while below

My hands burrow endlessly, tightly bound by the earth that surrounds,

until they finally find each other

I claw at my wrist and hold my breath, this evil will subsist, regardless of my

death
