I never thought I’d see the day

When church kids chose the hardcore way

And I expected quite a fight: punk rock vs the Christian right

So now I wonder what went wrong,

the hymnal has the perfect song

You picked a bible, and now you’re gone

It’s all the same, it’s just two different ways to pray
