Hearing the voices of those past and present

They’re there

I feel them

Whispering, shouting, crying and playing

Laughter from your eyes

And smile

Warm my heart

All over again

If I could heal my mind

You would go away

I don’t want you to go away

It’s your spirit that makes me whole

Mine is useless without yours

When you died

You came back to me

To help me through my life

To heal my pain

And ease my mind

I saw your eyes

Just as you left us all

You were no longer here

In this world

I believe you passed into me

Why then don’t you speak?

I hear you laugh

But never any words do you say

I miss you still

Even after all these years without you

My soul hurts

I ache to talk to you again

The kitchen arch

Your bed

The TV room

I miss seeing your red dot from the cigarette

You used to smoke at night

Your great giggle

Which always made me smile

You were the best thing in my life

At least after all I can still feel you

No matter where I am

You’ll always be here with me

The owl watches over me

I hope it always will
