I saw a peach on a tree

Dangle and plop down to me

I’ve been allergic since I was 16

But I wanted to set the pit free

Remember camping out west?

I saw a beast paw a pest

Am I the pest?

Or, am I the beast?

I thought that you had meant Boston

When you said you were

Moving back east

I saw my mom swat a fly

And sweep the fly’s body aside

I watched the fly

Wriggle and twitch and then die

And never once bat a green eye

It ends

Same way it begins

On a whim
