Everybody want to fall in love, everybody wants that special someone

Everybody needs somebody to be there to hold em down

When things get rocky, it don’t matter if you young or not

Need somebody to be real with you.

Ride or die, even if they gotta kill with you

To love you at your worst, even when you’re wrong

To have the wisdom to help and have the patience to deal with you

And I don’t count myself out at all, if I said I didn’t want you

I would be a darn fool, full of bull, cus we both know that it’s not true

I get this sudden rush when it’s just us, and I know it ain’t lust,

we’re even into the same stuff

Reading books, working out, getting turnt, on a mission to make Jesus famous

We want to rush things, but what’s the rush?

I Know we don’t lack trust,

we just both hate waiting

But if we want to be blessed by God than our relationship will require a bit of

patience

One day, you’ll be my bride, my wife.

On that day the sun will be shining bright

You’ll be mine for life, so let’s slow down.

If it’s meant to be,

God will bless us when the time is right

I’m not saying it’s over

But it just feels so fast

I seen so many heartbreaks

I’m not searching for that

Everyone’s in a hurry, to meet and fall in love

And once they do, they see it’s not what they thought it was

I know we’ve had our share of pain

Mistakes and hearts aching

All I’m asking for is patience

Can we slow it down?

I see our younger generation, being fed this lust, it’s like

They’re supposed to believe the romance novels, movies and music

Like it’s always love at first sight?

But that’s rarely ever the case, real love needs time put in

It needs work, needs faith, needs patience, and most importantly it needs God

up in it

So you could speed it up but no it won’t last

You’re sure to lose the wheel when you’re moving too fast

That’s why you give it to God, he’ll make sure you don’t crash

So the future plans you have don’t become a thing of the past

Went from a few walks and a few laughs, to a few hugs and a few hands

With a small kiss and a light touch, movie night, with cuddles and arms crossed

To sleeping over, hands on each other, and lights cut off

I apologize I know you’re a bit confused

But just let me explain

I’m not saying it’s over

But it just feels so fast
