My home girl was found murdered only God knows why

A young woman had to die

Every day I wonder why

They didn’t think twice in regards to her life

Erase that faithful night

She didn’t have to die

I wish I could take her place

And every time I close my eyes

I can’t help but see her face

I try to keep the faith but it’s slipping away
