My eyes crack open to the blistering sun.

The voice in my mind is a deafening scream.

Faded memories and wondering what happened.

Echoes from the night ring like a sinister dream.

Nightmare sun.

Bottles, pills, needles, and circuit boards.

I can’t quite remember what took place here.

I can’t quite remember he, or she, or we.

But I know I tried to make it disappear.

One too many, and she’s never coming back.

I’ve see my reflection, and I’ve painted it black.

I’ve seen my hope, and its name is never.

Now broken glass decorates the floors.

Broken computers, cabinets, and doors.

Now broken dreams decorate my mind.
