I have seen my eyes turning blue

So full of vapor.

It’s becoming dew

Ice in my eyes

My heart broke on its shame and sorrow

And now I know

How much crying there was in me

And how little love

How lonely I was

I could not respond

My culture has taught all the wrong things well

My soul cannot be still
