Daddy’s in the backyard picking up land

Wearing sweat on his brow and dirt on his hands

Gotta make a living gotta sell what he has

So he rides out rest to the red sunset

And he won’t come back home till the leaves turn red and gold

Mommas dog tired got a kid on the way

She’ll be working too hard till the end of the day

Momma needs a fish she’s got mouths to feed
