The Fire - Sea At Last

the sun it will set on the lies and regret

and your heart will be pure as a stone

though it crack and it split, you will still live with it

on the path walk towards the home

where you’ll put the fire on and burn through the dawn

until you’re as bright as the sky

when the night takes you in and the stars all rush in

in darkness you learn how to fly

I have loved you before you walked through the door

still I am watching those eyes

while the world around changes and we appear weightless

I have your heart on my mind

the wind carries it and my hands are open

to whatever it may become

we drink from the well and no one can tell

where we are going or coming from

the sun it will rise and I will look into those eyes
