I’m hollowed out in this broken house

my eyes are shut, but I feel the sound.

Sunken cheeks, torn at the seams

this is where I come to dream.

My blood is boiling

but I’m cold and I can’t breathe.

But it’s dark and I can’t see.

My mind is racing

I’m scared and I can’t speak.

So tired, but I can’t dream.

Feeling everything at once, no black or white.

Feeling like I’m living twice, no vital signs.

the glass is half-empty, but it’s all I’ve got.
