To Ashes Down - Curious

The shadowplay moves high above my head

but the sun shines hot down the twinkling sand

its light covers ugly sights with rays

courteous sorrow locked the world outside

Come with me on a trip back in the mists of time

and join with me storys which should have been true

no later light has lightened up my heaven

no second morn has ever shone for me

«I never meant to cause you any harm.»

a monument of all I’ve ever been

faithful, indeed, is the spirit that remembers

after such years of change and suffering.

But the sky promises rain

I neither hear the rain nor give it thanks

for washing me cleaner than I have been

since I was born into this solitude

blessed are the dead that the rain rains upon.

and so the dark incraeses

today`s only seen clearly in tomorrow’s light.

smiles at situations which it cannot see

If only I could turn again to myself

If only I could feel this dullness to comfort me

when do I check the tears of useless passion

to wean my young soul from yearning after

this illusion?

So I send a kiss with my dying breath on the sighing winds of love

to fly to the place where life and death

and things who never met unite

the moon is on its sky — like a bloated yellow man

And the gods lay asleep in bed

while all of the world burns to ashes down
