I’ve let so much slip through my bare hands

And I can’t take back all the words I said.

I spent so much time, lost in my head

I’ve learnt to take nothing for granted,

The bitter aftertaste of something you can’t change.

I feel like a silhouette that’s fading away.

I’m afraid to get close to, anyone at all.

When by myself, I don’t feel so alone.

If you painted me a portrait, of my life so far.

A few bright colours would stand out,

But the rest would fade so fast, so fast.
